Purchasing
All our hotels are members of the purchasing co-operative Fruition*. This is a non-profit making organisation which makes use of internet technology to provide:
(a) online procurement processes from each hotel to each supplier
and
(b) a paperless audit trail
Not only does this enable hotels to maintain low inventory levels but it also allows each hotel to obtain excellent quality products and services at low unit prices.
As a result, our hotels achieve above average margins for food and beverage sales and have access to highly-competitive laundry and utility costs. This approach to purchasing also lowers our administrative costs.
This excellence in cost management at all the hotels we manage enables us to deliver above average gross operating profit at its hotels.
We have evidence that our food and beverage margins are above the UK provincial average.
